Cultivating Calm
in the Chaos

I feel your struggles as I have been through them myself.  For years I too struggled with being reactive, taking everything personally, feeling angry more than I would like, and blaming everyone for everything. I was constantly searching for a sense of inner peace and I was endlessly seeking balance and harmony in my life.  No matter what I did or tried I couldn’t seem to find a way through.  It wasn’t until I had a traumatic physical experience when I was hit by a car as a pedestrian and my wrist was shattered that I was finally brought to the ultimate point of surrender.  There I was in the hospital about to go into surgery and something finally clicked within that allowed me to realize the true source of all of this physical pain was my emotional imbalances.  Even though at this point in my life I was already trained as a yoga teacher and had been meditating for many years I was still unconsciously avoiding my own emotional wellbeing. 

 

After enduring a very painful and long recovery including PTSD, panic, and anxiety and not wanting to leave the safety of my home  I was forced to give myself permission to finally sit with my feelings. It was very uncomfortable, but it was time to stop running away from myself.  I struggled for years with searching for a sense of inner peace, to find ways to be less reactive, to not take things personally, and to look for ways to choose not to react in a hostile way. This struggle ended when I was introduced to energy healing. The Emotion Code, The Body Code, Reiki, and Non-Violent Communication allowed me to integrate the philosophy of yoga and meditation to a whole new level.

 

Meditation and yoga gave me the tools to focus my mind and calm my body, but I still wasn’t able to get to the root cause of the symptoms.  I would find myself in the same old patterns, repeating the same old behavior, having the same old thoughts and reactions.  I knew I needed more to add to my toolbox to bring me the inner peace and calm I truly desired. I decided to learn Reiki, and this wonderful energy healing modality helped bring more relaxation to my body and mind and as well as more self-awareness. I couldn't heal what I wasn’t aware of.

 

After this, I began to learn Non-Violent Communication and the way I spoke to others softened and evolved. I also learned to listen through the ears of my heart, that everyone is trying to get one of their beautiful needs met. This was when I truly stopped taking things personally and boy was it liberating.  Then I found The Emotion Code and The Body Code. After releasing many, many trapped emotional energies I began to feel lighter inside, and I didn’t see life through the same lens anymore.  These trapped emotions were no longer there to trigger me to overreact.

 

The Body Code helped me release past traumas that had been stored in my body for many years, as well as many thoughts patterns and beliefs that developed due to these traumas. Now my toolbox is complete and I have many key practices that were the turning point for my transformation and journey to experiencing and living daily with true inner peace.

 

Going through this transformation is why I created this course so that I can help you shift out of old thought patterns, big reactions, taking things personally, and feeling like you are a victim of circumstance. 

 

I want you to experience the same results I have and live with freedom and joy in each moment.  I want to save you all the time and money that I invested in figuring out how I triumphed. I will show you how I got there and save you time in the process.  I know exactly where you’ve been and want to help you avoid all of the ups and downs. Allow me to give you the direct path and take all the guesswork out of the transformation process.  

 

Cultivating Calm in the Chaos is about giving you the tools to be able to choose peace in each moment.  It’s about learning strategies to be able to make new and empowering choices about how you react and how you feel about yourself. It’s about letting go of old energies and limiting beliefs that no longer serve you. It’s about daily embodiment and self-care practices that will transform your sense of well-being and feeling able to make space before you react so that you can communicate in an authentic and calm way.

 

In our 8 weeks together we will learn to meditate, learn mindfulness practices, cultivate gratitude in our daily lives, learn self-care embodiment practices, learn how to set intentions for ourselves, release emotional energies that cause big reactions, experience deep nurturing with a restorative yoga class with Reiki, learn breathing techniques to calm your nervous system and well as journaling exercises.

Module 1

The Quest for Inner Peace

  • Inner peace will grow in proportion to its importance to you

  • What does it look like for you

  • What can you commit to daily

Module 2

Peace is Personal

  • Peace must be planted and bloomed at home

  • Do your spouse/children ever receive your undivided attention? Are you accessible? 

  • The people you live with will guide you to love if you let them

Module 3

Peace is Dynamic 

  • Peace doesn’t eliminate problems, rather it facilitates overcoming them from a grounded and stable foundation

  • We can design an orienting axis of stability within the swirl

  • The pursuit of inner peace is a self-regenerating way of life

  • The action of returning, like a compass to the north

Module 4

Peace is Selective

  • Peace isn’t accomplished, it never endures beyond a movement, it must be reborn and recreated in each moment

  • Peace is also not-doing

Module 5

Peace is the Vibration of Language

  • Peace is what you say, and how you say it, it is both what you understand, and what you hear in your flesh and bones (the practice of absorbing words of peace will create within you a hum of peace)

  • As you listen, seek to understand

Speak your Peace

  • Speak from the heart

  • Speak your truth

Module 7

Peace is Feeling

  • Only when we can fully feel our feelings, sit with the discomfort of negative emotions, and lean into the unpleasantness of them will we truly find inner peace

  • Once we let our feeling move through us we will have more space for expanding peace within

Peace is You

  • See the big picture, take ourselves off autopilot, and see ourselves as we really are

  • The more grateful we are the more precious our days become
